Showing off the Oak - Mini Vase
Have you ever wanted to own a piece of wood-turned art that has been sculpted for your entertainment? All of my pieces have been made with the love and passion I have for nature and unlocking the beauty within the materials I use. Each Harry Smith original leaves my workshop with a part of my soul embedded in it, my favourite part is making a piece of wood something it was always meant to be, art.
As soon as I saw this piece I knew the grain would be amazing once sanded, and it certainly didn't disappoint! English oak always looks fabulous when it has strong grain. The little vase was sanded to 7000 grit and finished with wood wax. The grain grain of the English oak really makes this piece pop! And the small curve cut into the top adds a gentle touch to this bold and striking piece.

This piece is approximately: 180 x 40mm
Disclaimer:
Products: My pieces are made from mostly natural materials, these may warp, crack or disfigure during their lifetime. This is natural and often unavoidable; however, I try my best to hold my pieces for 28 days to allow them to settle, and for me to make a judgement on if they are acceptable to sell (I have very high standards).
The photos shown are taken immediately after finishing the piece, please bear in mind that the finish may slightly dull over time, and cracks may appear, but all pieces are individual and will dry and/or settle differently. If you want a current picture of the piece, please email me before purchasing.
All of my pieces are intended for display purposes, please consult me before buying if you intend to use any of them to do anything other than make your home look fabulous.
If have any questions please contact me before purchasing.

At Harry Smith Woodturing, we take pride in our commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing. While we strive to use fallen wood and trees that have naturally come to the end of their life cycle, we acknowledge that sometimes it's necessary to purchase wood. In such cases, we make every effort to obtain it from reliable and ethical sources. Our dedication to environmental consciousness remains at the forefront of our practices, ensuring that each piece you acquire reflects our unwavering commitment to the well-being of our planet. Thank you for supporting our mission to create art that respects and celebrates nature.
